These are the plain rules for using SoulCall. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.

What SoulCall is

  • SoulCall is a free Windows app made by Arda Sokol: pixel characters that live on your desktop.
  • You can buy optional token packs, used for drawing new characters and homes in the app. There is no subscription.
  • Tokens have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money (except as described in the refund policy), and can't be transferred to another install or person.
  • The free daily allowance and token prices may change. A change never takes away tokens you already have.

Your data

  • Your characters, memories and homes are stored on your computer.
  • When you use SoulCall Cloud, requests to AI services (conversation, and drawing through PixelLab) pass through our relay server, which forwards them and doesn't store their content.
  • If you use your own keys or a local model, requests go directly to that service or stay on your computer.
  • More detail: what they see, and what they don't.

Acceptable use

  • SoulCall is a safe-for-work desktop companion. Sexual or adult content isn't allowed in characters, descriptions or uploads.
  • Don't use SoulCall to make illegal content.
  • You're responsible for what you describe or upload, such as text and photos, and for having the right to use it.
  • Characters drawn through PixelLab are for use inside SoulCall only. Don't use them to produce images for use elsewhere, and don't use them to train AI models. PixelLab's Terms of Service also apply.

The usual

  • SoulCall is provided "as is", without warranties. It's made by one person, and things can break.
  • We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
